Come and join us for an exciting evening to hear how the movement of Prayer Spaces in Schools is spreading through the nations, creating spaces for pupils everywhere to explore prayer and find peace with themselves, others, the world and God.
‘I didn’t know prayer could be so FUN!’ – Pupil, Year 5
'I don’t even believe in all that stuff, but I could feel God in there!’ – Pupil, 16
Author of the new book Sticky Note Prayers and International Director of Prayer Spaces in Schools, Phil Sokell-Miles, will share stories and insights to inspire you. Local practitioners and champions will be joining us on the evening sharing their local experiences with schools from where you are and there will be a live prayer space for you to experience yourself.
‘I spent two hours close to tears as the pupil’s responses took my breath away. I knew that they would enjoy being somewhere different and doing something unusual. What I wasn’t prepared for was the depth with which they would engage with the prayer space.’– Head of Religious Education (RE), UK
By the end of the evening, you will be equipped to offer prayer spaces to your local schools too and thanks to a generous supporter everyone who registers to attend will receive a free copy of the book at the venue.
If you want to make an impact in your local area and serve your local schools then Prayer Spaces in Schools is a great way to get started, come and join us!
This event is being run in partnership with our friends from Urban Abbey, a 24-7 Prayer Community.
